UPSL National Quarterfinals Preview—Southeast, Central and West Regions

January 19th, 2024

This weekend, the UPSL National Quarterfinals reaches its pinnacle as the remaining three teams to participate at the Fall 2023 National Finals will be decided. These crucial final playoff rounds will showcase some of the nation’s best up-and-coming talent and semi-professional soccer players. Six teams from three different regions will compete for a place at the National Finals.

Southeast Region – St. Louis City Academy (MO) vs. Florida Premier FC (FL)

Saturday 3:00PM EST / 12:00PM PST

The Southeast region quarterfinal sets the stage for an exciting matchup between MLS club St. Louis City and top team Florida Premier FC. Both teams finished second in their conferences this regular season but have gone on post-season runs. St. Louis City SC have scored 10 goals in the last two playoff games and Florida Premier have scored 6 in the past three.

Central Region – Indios Denver FC (CO) vs. Foro Soccer Club (TX)

Saturday 7:00PM EST / 4:00PM PST

The Central region quarterfinal brings forth a showdown between Indios Denver FC from Colorado and Foro SC from Texas. Both teams are currently undefeated, with Indios Denver currently one of the highest scoring teams in the UPSL Premier Division. Last Spring, Indios made it all the way to the National Quarterfinals—now they face another tough quarterfinal test in the form of Foro, who have only conceded 7 goals all season long. If Foro advance, they will be one of the first teams to advance to three UPSL National Finals.

West Region – Napa Valley 1839 FC (CA) vs. Chiriaco FC (CA)

Sunday 5:00PM EST / 2:00PM PST

In the West region quarterfinal, Napa Valley 1839 FC and Chiriaco FC are ready to compete for a place at the Finals. Napa Valley, known for their attacking style of play, have two strikers in double-figure goals this season. They face a Chiriaco FC side that scored over 50 goals in the regular season and 8 goals in the last three playoff games.
