March 8th, 2024

Ahead of the anticipated, upcoming UPSL Spring season, this weekend will see three different UPSL hosted championship matches kicking off—the Florida Regional Cup, Texas Regional Cup and Cal South Open State Cup Hosted by the UPSL. All three finals will showcase some of the nation’s top semi-pro teams in Florida, Texas and California.

2024 Cal South Open State Cup Hosted by the UPSL — Sun. (3/10) 4:30PM PST

Chiriaco FC (Coachella, CA) vs. Downtown LA (Los Angeles, CA)

Recently crowned UPSL National Champions, Chiriaco FC will face fellow UPSL SoCal top team Downtown Los Angeles. Both teams are set to compete this upcoming UPSL Spring season and have very strong reputations in the SoCal area. Chiriaco are known to put together top semi-pro and adult sides composed of active and former pros, and Downtown LA is a very successful top academy in the heart of Los Angeles.

2024 UPSL Texas Regional Cup — Sat. (3/9) 6:00PM CST

San Antonio City (San Antonio, TX) vs. Sporting NTX (McKinney, TX)

Two Texas top teams will face off as Texas Central conference side San Antonio City face Texas North conference side Sporting NTX. Both teams scored over 22 goals in less than 9 games last season in one of the UPSL’s toughest regions. Each side will look to bring home the Texas Regional Cup crown as they prepare for their upcoming UPSL Spring seasons.

2024 UPSL Florida Regional Cup — Sat. (3/9) 7:00PM EST

Miami United FC (Miami, FL) vs. Deportivo Lake Mary (Orlando, FL)

UPSL newcomers Miami United FC are one of Florida’s long-standing top teams. With years of experience in the US Open Cup, having signed Brazilian International Adriano at one point, Miami United are no strangers to the spotlight. They take on a Deportivo Lake Mary side that has spent the past three seasons competing in UPSL Premier Division. With plenty of talent and experience on both sides, this match will display some of Florida’s best.

All three events not only showcase some of the nation’s top talent and give teams a chance to compete for a title, but also give UPSL teams a chance to prepare for a pivotal Spring Season and an opportunity to qualify for the US Open Cup. Teams kicking off this weekend in the State Cup in California will fight for 10K in cash prize, while Texas and Florida Regional Cup winners will take home five thousand dollars each.
