UPSL Fall 2023 National Finals Preview – Chiriaco FC (Coachella, CA)
Boasting one of the most productive offenses in the league and led by current Fall 2023 UPSL Coach of the Season, Chiriaco FC go into the National Finals and sits as the number 1 overall seed, with plans to bring home a national title. Representing the West, Chiriaco FC have made it out of one of the most competitive regions in the UPSL, overcoming top teams in their conference such as Napa Valley 1839, LA Galaxy and LAFC Academy.
Chiriaco FC head coach and Fall UPSL Coach of the Season Victor Garcia explained his team’s mindset heading into the National Finals.
“We all know the upcoming matchup will be our toughest challenge yet in the UPSL. Foro SC are a good side who have had previous success in this league. They have a lot of experience in the UPSL and at this stage of the competition, yes, they’ve had a great season but for us, nothing changes.”
“The boys are focused on the semi-final game this Friday and getting this win, and we are excited for the challenge ahead. This is going to be a match-up between two of the best teams in the UPSL and it’s going to be a great high-level game.”
Hailing from Coachella Valley, California, the West Region’s representative, Chiriaco FC, are one of the most fearsome teams in the UPSL. With an undefeated home record and only one loss all season, Chiriaco has one of the highest goal differentials in the league. After defeating Napa Valley 1839 FC 2-0 in the West Region Final, the Del Real Foods SoCal North champions have become a force to reckoned with this post-season. The team will look to continue their hot scoring streak of 8 goals in the past three playoff games.

The UPSL National Finals kick off Friday, February 2nd with the first semi-final match being played between Columbus Crew SC Academy (Columbus, OH) vs. St. Louis City Academy (St. Louis, OH) at 8:30pm (EST) / 5:30pm (PST) and Foro Soccer Club (Dallas, TX) vs. Chiriaco FC (Coachella, CA) at 11:30pm(EST) / 8:30pm(PST).
