Tom Marriott claims Spring 2026 Golden Boot after unbeaten run with SCU Heat

September 11th, 2026

Here’s a player who continues to make his mark at the UPSL level.

SCU Heat forward Tom Marriott was named the Spring 2026 Golden Boot winner after another standout campaign in the Mid-Atlantic Premier South, helping his side complete an unbeaten season and advance all the way to the National Quarterfinals.

For Marriott, the individual recognition came alongside a season that showed just how strong SCU Heat can be on the national stage.

“It was a successful season — unbeaten and reaching the national quarterfinals,” Marriott said. “Falling on penalties was tough, but we’re aiming for the Final Four this year. With our strong core and incredible staff, it’s in our hands.”

Marriott’s journey began in Mansfield, England, where he entered the Derby County FC Academy at just seven years old. He remained with Derby until the age of 16 before signing a scholarship with hometown club Mansfield Town FC.

His development continued quickly. At 17, Marriott featured in the Checkatrade Trophy and was later offered the opportunity to continue his professional career in England.

Instead, he chose a different path.

Marriott moved to the United States to continue both his education and his playing career, eventually graduating from Lander University in South Carolina. Since then, he has established himself as a consistent goalscorer in the UPSL Premier Division and a major attacking presence for SCU Heat.

And he has wasted little time carrying that form into Fall 2026.

Marriott opened the new campaign with two goals in his first game, picking up exactly where he left off as SCU Heat look to build on last season’s National Quarterfinal appearance.

An unbeaten season, a Golden Boot, and now another fast start. The next target is clear: take SCU Heat even deeper into the national playoffs.

Onward and upward, Tom.
