Teams Confirmed for Upcoming UPSL National Finals (Feb.2-4)

January 24th, 2024

The stage is set, and four teams have secured their place to compete next weekend at the UPSL National Finals in Irvine, California. These final four teams represent four regions of the UPSL across the country and are comprised of some of the nation’s top semi-professional players.

Chiriaco FC (Coachella, CA) – Representing the West Region

The overall number 1 seed for the UPSL Finals, hailing from Coachella Valley, California, the West Region will be represented by Chiriaco FC. With an undefeated home record and only one loss all season, Chiriaco has one of the highest goal differentials in the league. After defeating Napa Valley 1839 FC 2-0 in the West Region Final, the Del Real Foods SoCal North champions have become a force to reckoned with this post-season. They look to cap off their great season by keeping the National Championship trophy in California.

Foro Soccer Club (Dallas, TX) – Representing the Central Region

Continuing their undefeated streak, Foro Soccer Club emerged victorious after a 2-1 victory over the only other undefeated side left in the UPSL playoffs, Indios Denver from Colorado. In doing so, Foro have booked their place in the UPSL National Finals for an impressive third time in their club’s history. The team previously won the Fall 2021 UPSL National Championship and now seek to bring home a second national title. With only eight goals conceded all season, Foro boasts one of the best defenses in the nation.

Columbus Crew SC (Columbus, OH) – Representing the East Region

The Crew’s journey to the UPSL Fall 2023 National Finals has been nothing short of remarkable for the first-year UPSL team. The side finished a close second in a tough Ohio conference, going head-to-head with FC Cincinatti in league play, eventually defeating their MLS rivals 4-3 in the first round of the UPSL playoffs. After a dramatic 2-1 victory in the Northeast Final at MLS Stadium, Lower. Com Field, the Columbus Crew were the first team to book their place at the UPSL National Finals this season.

St. Louis City Academy (St. Louis, MO) – Representing the Southeast Region

After a Quarterfinal showdown between two of the UPSL’s best attacking teams, St. Louis City Academy have secured their spot at the Finals after defeating Florida Premier SC 1-0. The team has scored 14 goals in the last four playoff games and are showing no signs of slowing. With 51 goals scored this season, St. Louis City has one of the highest goal scoring records in the UPSL.

The UPSL National Finals kick off Friday, February 2nd with the first semi-final match being played between Columbus Crew SC vs. St. Louis City Academy at 8:30pm (EST) / 5:30pm (PST) and Foro Soccer Club vs. Chiriaco FC at 11:30pm(EST) / 8:30pm(PST).
