Lorenzo & Stefano D’Agostini Enjoying Life at Lazio (Seria A) after Juventus Academy Miami

February 27th, 2024

Former UPSL Premier Division players and twin brothers, Lorenzo and Stefano D’Agostini have both recently completed transfers to Seria A side SS Lazio from Juventus Academy Miami, and are already making an impact with the Lazio U19’s and at first-team training sessions.

Both Lorenzo and Stefano spent several seasons competing in the UPSL Premier Division, first with Juventus Miami and then with the Inter Miami CF U19 UPSL team.

Ahead of this season, the boys both signed for SS Lazio, during a time where the club was making huge waves in Europe and ended the 2023 Seria A season in second place above AC Milan, Inter and Juventus.

The boys have now been given the opportunity to train with the Lazio first team and have been added to the Lazio U19s to help compete in both the UEFA Youth League and the Coppa Italia Primavera.

“For my brother and I, the UPSL was the beginning of playing at a high level with high-level players. Our experience in the UPSL was great for us. We’re excited to be able to now take the next step” Explains Lorenzo, who has been starting most games at the striker position for the U19s.

With just 10 regular season games played so far, the Italian American forward has three goals so far. His brother, Stefano is a center back for the U19 side and still awaiting his debut with the team.

“It was a great experience;” Lorenzo continues “it was a great challenge competing against older and more experienced players. We’re now able to chase our dreams and travel to Italy because of it.

“I highly recommend this level for young players trying to go pro, they need to be playing UPSL Premier Division.” says Lorenzo.

The UPSL wishes Lorenzo D’Agostini and Stefano D’Agostini the best of luck as they embark on this next chapter in his playing career and seek to become the latest American stars to compete in Seria A, following in the footsteps of USMNT stars Christian Pulisic, Weston Mckennie, Yunus Musah and Tim Weah.
