Former UPSL Talent Jacobo Alatorre Signs with Puebla FC in Liga MX

The United Premier Soccer League is proud to announce that former UPSL Premier Division standout Jacobo Alatorre has signed with Liga MX side Puebla FC. The Texas-born attacking talent, born in 2004, spent two years competing in the UPSL with Craq Club Deportivo, Gauchos Intercontinental, and most recently Project 510, before making the jump to the professional ranks. 

Now a member of Puebla FC’s Under-21 team, Alatorre has already featured in about 10 matches, starting in half of those. He has also been regularly training with the Puebla first team and is expected to make his senior debut in the near future. The young prospect’s trajectory highlights the pathway from the UPSL to the professional game, both inside and outside the US. 

Alatorre officially registered with the UPSL in June 2024, competing in different UPSL conferences across the Southern California region. After standout performances in the UPSL Premier Division last season, his talent drew the attention of scouts, paving the way for his move to Mexican professional soccer. His journey exemplifies the UPSL’s mission of providing opportunities for players to showcase their abilities and continue their soccer development.
