Deportivo Rose City Crowned UPSL Spring 2026 National Champions

Deportivo Rose City completed a historic postseason run on Sunday, defeating Miami United FC 3-1 at Wallis Annenberg Stadium at UCLA to capture the 2026 UPSL Spring National Championship.

Making its first-ever appearance at the UPSL National Finals, Rose City became the latest club to etch its name into UPSL history, overcoming Miami United FC in a thrilling Championship match to claim the first National Championship in club history.

The victory capped a remarkable playoff run for the Portland-based club, which entered the National Finals as one of four teams remaining from a field of more than 300 clubs across the country.

Deportivo Rose City wasted no time making its presence felt on the biggest stage. Tristin Evans opened the scoring for Rose City in the seventh minute, giving the Oregon club an early 1-0 advantage.

Miami United FC responded in the 32nd minute, leveling the match through an own goal by Deportivo Rose City to bring the score to 1-1. The score remained level through halftime, setting up a dramatic final 45 minutes.

After a tightly contested opening half, Dustin Corea delivered when it mattered most. The Deportivo Rose City forward scored in the 57th minute to restore his team’s lead before striking again in the 77th minute, completing a brace and putting Rose City within reach of the championship.

Corea entered the National Finals already in remarkable form, having scored eight goals in five playoff matches. His two-goal performance in the Championship match brought his playoff total to 10 goals in six matches.

With Miami unable to find another response, the final whistle confirmed Rose City’s historic 3-1 victory.

From a first-ever National Finals appearance to lifting the championship trophy, Rose City completed a historic run and secured the club’s first UPSL National Championship.
