Chris Korte Named Senior Director of Content at the United Soccer League
The United Premier Soccer League today congratulated Chris Korte on his appointment as Senior Director of Content with the United Soccer League.
Korte served in Sports Marketing & Media for the UPSL, where he built the league’s content and public relations operation and brought national attention to its clubs and its players. Among them was Yan Diomande, who played for AS Frenzi in the UPSL in 2023 before moving to Europe and, in August 2026, signing for Real Madrid for a reported €125 million — a club record and the largest fee ever paid for an African player.
“We are thrilled for Chris and excited to see him take on his new role in the soccer ecosystem. His connections in the beautiful game enable him to tell great stories,” said Nick Webster, Executive Vice President of the UPSL.
“After nearly four incredible years with the UPSL, I’m excited to begin a new chapter in my career as I join the United Soccer League as Senior Director of Content. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities, relationships, and experiences the UPSL has given me, and for the chance to help tell the stories of players, clubs, and communities across the country. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey—I’m proud of what we’ve built together and look forward to what’s ahead.”
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Korte is a sports marketing and operations professional with years of experience in professional sports, specializing in digital and content marketing, social media and public relations. Everyone at the UPSL wishes him well in the new role.
