UPSL Premier Division Teams take part in second-ever TST Million Dollar Tournament

June 13th, 2024

After an intense final between La Bombonera, a Delaware soccer club made up of futsal and beach soccer players, and Nani FC, led by Luis Nani (Former Manchester United & Portugal), the club from Delaware took home the 1 million Dollar prize at the TST Soccer Tournament in Cary, North Carolina.

Taking part in the second annual TST Soccer Tournament, in addition to Sergio Aguero and former players from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, were three UPSL Premier Division teams: Tentfifteen FC, City Soccer and DC Hyper.

Tenfifteen FC (Dallas, TX)

Making it all the way to the Round of 16, falling only to ESPN’s own Pat McAfee’s CONCAFA SOCCER CLUB, Tenfifteen represented UPSL Texas well and scored several clutch late goals in the tournament. Coming back to win 3-2 in the Round of 32, the Texas North Premier Division team were able to advance through to the knockout rounds by winning their first game against eventual quarterfinalists Sire Seven.

City Soccer FC (West Palm Beach, FL)

Placed in a group with top professional sides Villarreal CF (La Liga), Como-Caligari (Seria A) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), City Soccer held their own scoring a goal in every game this tournament. The long-term UPSL Florida Premier Division team’s TST run ended late in the tournament after a tough loss to a veteran Villarreal CF side.

DC Hyper (Washington DC)

UPSL newcomers DC Hyper also put up some top performances against Tournament-favorites Newton Pride FC and Zala FC, comprised of USMNT veterans. The team from the nation’s capital put up a good fight and scored two goals in three games, just missing out on a third-place finish in the Group stage after being placed in one of the tournament’s toughest groups.
