UPSL 2023 Fall National Finals Set for Championship Soccer Stadium (Irvine, CA)

October 18th, 2023

The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce the host venue for the Fall 2023 UPSL National Finals, as well as the upcoming dates for the Fall Regional Finals. This season, Championship Soccer Stadium, located inside Orange County Great Park in the heart of Southern California, will once again host the UPSL National Finals. This will mark the third time in UPSL history at this remarkable venue.

Set against the backdrop of one of the largest, premier sporting destinations in the country, Orange County Great Park, is home to a number of professional-grade, full-sized training facilities and fields, including the 2,500-seater Championship Soccer Stadium. The facility in total includes over 24 full-sized soccer fields, 25 tennis courts, 12 baseball fields and an NHL / Olympic ice rink facility.

UPSL Commissioner Yan Skwara spoke about his excitement about the return of the National Finals to Championship Soccer Stadium.

“We’re excited to bring the UPSL National Finals back to Championship Soccer Stadium, one of the best facilities in the country. Southern California is where the UPSL began, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring the National Finals back here for a third time. Our National Finals teams have had great experiences here in the past and we are very much looking forward to hosting them again in February.”

Championship Soccer Stadium also serves as the current home for USL Championship team Orange County SC, and is well-known for its professional-grade facilities, scenic views and gameday atmosphere. Spring 2021 National Finals participant and National Playoffs top goal scorer Willaim Eyang played in Championship Soccer Stadium with the Florida Tropics SC. He described his experiences playing at the venue.

“We couldn’t have asked for better conditions, my team and I loved our experience in California at the UPSL National Finals. The venue we played at was amazing and everything was smooth and well-organized—it all allows you to play to the best of your abilities. We all loved it.”

The two National semi-final games will kick off on Friday, February 2nd with the National Championship match played two days later Sunday, February 4th. The UPSL national playoffs begin this November with 32 teams from across the country competing to determine who will be crowned national champion.
