FC Folsom’s Nathaniel Carrasco Named Fall 2024 National Playoffs Top Scorer

February 7th, 2025

Nathaniel Carrasco from FC Folsom (Folsom, CA) has been named Top Goal scorer in the Fall 2024 National Playoffs, netting nine goals in seven playoff matches. His performances led Folsom to its first-ever National Finals appearance and a National second-place finish.

“I believe I had a successful season personally, but obviously winning the national championship is the ultimate goal.” said Carrasco. “But having such great players around me allowed me to focus on scoring for the team. Scoring 22 goals in the regular season and 9 goals in the playoffs wouldn’t have been possible without my talented teammates.”

Carrasco, a former Division I standout at the University of California with nearly 60 NCAA appearances, showcased his versatility as both a forward and defender for the Golden Bears at the college level. He was a key figure for FC Folsom this season, and scored twice in the National Semifinal match against El Paso Rush to help secure his team a place in the championship game.

“The competition in the UPSL Playoffs was incredible, getting to play teams from all over the country and competing against different styles of play was very exciting. Every playoff team we faced was intense and played at a high level.”

Looking ahead, Carrasco sees himself playing professionally. “I believe I’ve proven I can compete at the next level. My goal is to return next season, win the national title, and use this platform to showcase myself and get to the next level.”
